Biography

Oswaldo is the head coach at Jitsu Academy CT.

He is a black belt under Master André Pederneiras, founder of Nova Uniao,one of the most prestigious Jiu-Jitsu Schools in the world.

Oswaldo was born in the city of Rio de Janeiro and he started inJiu-Jitsu at 6 years old.

Oswaldo was promoted to Black Belt by Master Andre Pederneiras in December 2008.

In addition to his Jiu-Jitsu career, Oswaldo has two Masters degrees in Brazil. Oswaldo has a degree in Law from the Catholic University of Petropolis(2003) and MBA from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro(2015).

In 2013 Oswaldo opened an association of academies called “DJ Bros BJJ Association”, which prioritizes to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in poorer neighborhoods around the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Also, Oswaldo has a younger brother (Daniel) that teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil. The meaning of “DJ” is their last names “Dias Jurema”.
